Fits 10 pounds of long grain rice PERFECTLY.
So, for some reason, nobody else in the world who has bought this used it for rice, or could say how much riceof what type they were able to fit into this exact container.I know they make dispensers EXACTLY for rice, but none of them had the look I wanted in my kitchen. In my opinion the OXO aesthetic is top tier for the kitchen. So, I had my heart set on the largest container they make, this one, for my 10 pound bag of long grain white jasmine rice.This is the “OXO Good Grips Pet POP Container – 6.0 Qt/5.7 L with Half Scoop”The container is perfect. It literally fits exactly 10 pounds of my rice, as I buy in it 10 pound units. There’s just under an inch of space remaining between the top of the rice and the bottom of the container’s lid. I spent an hour trying to translate the density and weight of “dog food and cat food” into rice. Not easy, and I really wasn’t sure if my math was correct. But it turns out converting the liters into cups, volume wise, DOES actually check out when calculating the volume of rice. Not the pet food.As for the container itself besides size, it arrived perfectly, crystal clear, and it does have a plastic smell initially when you open it. But I rinsed mine with dish soap for a few minutes, dried it, and it was pristine. My lid’s button does have a small scuff on it, but unless you have it in the perfect light and know where it is, it’s not visible. I won’t dock a point for it. Overall I’d say there are other containers that do something similar for significantly cheaper, but I saw this one and knew I had to have it. This one is definitely expensive. As others have said, the lid is not strong enough to hold up the entire container when it is full, so DO NOT try to carry the container by the lid. The small scoop also slots very firmly into the underside of the lid (inside the container) and is a helpful addition.To wrap things up, if you have a similar predicament where you either must have this container, or need to store 10 pounds of rice (long grain in my case), this is perfect and I recommend buying it.

Excellent dry cat food storage with scoop
We adopted 2 kittens. We also have an 11 year old cat. We wanted a better way to store the kitten dry food. This container is perfect! I like OXO brand and was not disappointed. It comes with a scoop that stores in the lid. Nice touch!!

Fits 5lbs of flour and comes with a bonus scoop
I wanted anther 4.4qt container to match the OXO I previously purchased for my All Purpose Flour. This container is advertised for pet food but it’s the exact same container and even comes with a scoop that attaches to the underside of the lid. It fits a 5lb bag of flour perfectly!

Cat food container.
I like the easy open lid … just push the button. Has a small scoop that fits inside the lid, which delivers the perfect portion of dry kibble. It’s not large, holding maybe a 3 lb bag of kibble at most, but keeps the food dry and fresh.

I was a bit hesitant to buy this because I need something to keep my cats cookies fresh! He has urinary problems and is on prescription cat food and cat treats. I need a container that will be airtight as his cookies are extremely expensive and if they go stale he won’t eat them. I was so pleased to see this 1litre pet pop container works fantastically!! It comes apart and is so easy to clean and, it’s the perfect size, I just with they had bigger sizes for his food. Don’t be fooled by marketing, this is the exact same container that is sold for “human food” (and costs less). This is a perfect size for keeping flour, sugar, and other cooking & baking essentials in handy reach. But it is the lid that makes this 5 stars; the round ‘pop’ button is easily pushed down to unlock the lid. Highly recommend to anyone with arthritic hands. Sealing the lid, by again pushing down the round button is just as easy.

Excellent quality like all OXO products. Heavy base makes it very easy to get treats in and out. A real game-changer. Highly recommended.
