    Perfect for Puppy
Extremely satisifed. We got the 22x13x16 (smallest) crate for our 8-week golden retriever puppy, and it’s the perfect size for her. Also fits inside a 24×24 playpen so she can get comfortable going in and out of it on her own. When she outgrows it, we’ll sell this one and trade up to an adult-size crate with a divider; I just worried that that would be a little too big for her at the start and allow her room to have a “bathroom” spot — which we definitely don’t want while we’re potty training.Very sturdy crate so far, the coating on all the metal is nice and it’s fit snugly so that the doors don’t rattle or swing wildly when they’re open; they kind of have an interference fit so they stay where you put them. The bowls are excellent and have a really firm snap-in fit into the holders so there’s not even a chance of one popping out accidentally. Puppy is getting all of her food through toys, so i just have one bowl in for water (which stops getting refilled about 90 mins before bedtime).Cover is nice and I appreciate that each individual panel can be up or down. Nice little removable carry handle for the collapsed crate as well. Good solid snaps to retain the removable tray.

Good Starter Kit for XL Dogs
After the loss of our beloved pet, we ended up adopting a 3 year old terrier mix (about 45 lb) and a really long legged 10 month old girl that they said was a shepherd mix? She really looks to have greyhound or something as well. At any rate, she is one tall drink of water and needs the full height of the 48″ kennel to stand. We knew that the terrier was heart worm positive and would need to be kept quiet in a kennel for a long period of time after treatment and wanted him to have a nice big crate to stretch out and move around in so we chose to get the 48″ crate. The crate was very easy to set up and had a couple of dividers as well (which we don’t use). There’s a nice plush thin pad to lay on. The pad has a water proof backing in case of accidents or if he splashes when drinking. There is a plastic tray on the bottom of the kennel which can be slid out to clean if necessary. The two stainless steel bowls and holders are really nice and heavy and should last a long time. The labels came off cleanly and the bowls snap securely into the holders that are held onto the crate with wing nuts so they can be placed wherever it seems best. The wire of the cage is thick and the coating is shiny and does not rub off. Our Terrier became upset one day and did try to bite the wire side of the cage but it did not damage either him or the cage. I can see if you had a younger dog that was trying to chew their way out, you might want to use some zip ties to help secure it between the metal fasteners. Our dogs, being pound puppies, are okay. The door has always stayed securely closed and I was concerned about that since the slides are just straight and not L shaped as previous crates that we have had.We put the cover on 3 sides and put the 4th flap on top because our pups seemed to like it better that way. It’s like a den for them. The 48″ is really huge and I can crawl inside of it so be sure you have plenty of space–think a baby crib without the legs. The larger pup really loves the kennel and she stays in it quite comfortably when we have to leave the house while the terrier stays in a smaller crate during that time. Both of the dogs will stay in the kennel willingly and even crawl in there during the day to rest. We’re very happy with our purchase and recommend it highly. It is made well and we expect it to last for a very long time with our fur kids. We would buy it again! Buy with confidence.

    Excellent product!
We just adopted a senior, orphaned shih tzu, and she has complete terrors and loses bladder control during thunderstorms. She has never had a crate, and many doggie friends have advised me to get one for her, so she will have a safe place to ride out storms (in conjunction with medication from the vet). I’m in the process of crate training her now, while there are no thunderstorms predicted for the next week or ten days. Just started working with her a few days ago, and I was thrilled that yesterday she got in the crate 4 times on command. Who says that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? Anyway I think this crate will work out perfectly. It’s good quality and assembled easily. My only complaint is that mice chewed into the box in the warehouse, and there were mouse droppings all over the inside of the box, including on the metal part of the crate. Luckily all the fabric parts were well packed separately in lots of plastic, and weren’t affected. But I wasn’t happy about having to spend an hour cleaning mouse poop and disinfecting all the metal caging. In one spot, the droppings had been on there so long that it ate through the paint, and it left raw metal when I cleaned it off. Quite honestly, I would have returned the crate immediately for a replacement if we hadn’t been under a severe tornado warning that afternoon, and I really needed it desperately. I would have definitely sent it back if the fabric parts had been exposed to the droppings. But shame on the warehouse for this situation!! Mouse droppings are extremely toxic and transmit diseases, and this situation puts your customers at risk. My only other complaint is that one of the metal bowls doesn’t fit snugly in the clamp. I will probably contact the manufacturer about this, if I can find the time. All in all though, I’m pleased with this product and feel that it’s good quality and a fair price. The blackout curtains are nice, the fleecy bed is great, and the leak-proof tray under the bed is an awesome feature that I’m inevitably going to need! I should note, even though a Small crate would have been fine for her, I decided to buy the Medium, just to give her a little more room. I don’t regret that decision, at all!
